If your check-up includes a blood test, we ask you to fast for 8–12 hours beforehand (no food or drinks other than water). This ensures accurate results for fasting glucose, insulin, and lipid markers. Please make sure to stay well hydrated and drink 2–3 glasses of water before your appointment. If you only booked an MRI without blood work, fasting is not required, but we still recommend staying hydrated. Avoid heavy exercise for 2 hours before the scan. Detailed preparation guidelines are provided after booking. See our FAQ on full preparation instructions for more. ### Do I need a referral for an Ahead test? No, you do not need a referral for the Ahead tests. You can request an appointment independently. Please note that we may need to assess your eligibility for some tests. You choose your preferred appointment online through our website; we confirm it within one working day. You can also contact us via WhatsApp or phone. ### Do you offer a couples discount, and how does it work? Yes. If you and your partner each book and complete an MRI-based check-up within the same month, you both receive CHF 250 off (CHF 500 total). You and your partner book separately and can each choose any MRI-based package. In the final step of the booking, please mention the name of your partner in the notes field, so we can link the two appointments. Once both scans have been completed, the discount will be deducted from your final invoices. Our team is happy to help you coordinate everything, just contact us. ### When will I get my results? Your results will typically be available 5-7 business days after the check-up. You will receive an email notification including a link and instructions to securely access your results in the web portal. ### Is the MRI scan performed with contrast agents or radiation? The full-body MRI scan included in the Ahead check-up is performed without the use of contrast agents and is radiation-free. If you opt for certain additional specific tests, these may involve a very low dose of radiation or contrast agents.
