The role
The wealthy have always had access to better, more proactive healthcare. AI lets us bring this to everyone. We're building Europe's leading prevention platform, and we've proven it works in Switzerland.
As our Founding CMO, you own how the world discovers, understands, and trusts Ahead. Brand strategist and growth engineer in one person, moving at startup speed.
Today, marketing is two people inside a 12-person company. You'll grow it into the capability that takes Ahead from early traction to the default name in European preventive health.
You'll work alongside senior engineers & designers, AI specialists, experienced company builders, and a medical team with clinical rigour. High trust, high expectations.
You’re probably leading a bigger team now, but are eager to get back to fewer meetings, and more shipping.
You're as technical and AI-native as a marketer gets. If "martech stack" to you means Notion and a Trello board, this isn't the role.
Your responsibilities
Own the marketing strategy. Brand, growth, product marketing. Set priorities, allocate budget, measure everything.
Build the brand. Make Ahead the name people trust with their health. Own positioning, voice, visual identity, and narrative.
Acquire users. Build and scale multi-channel acquisition (SEO/SEM, content, social, paid, partnerships, referral, offline) with tight CAC discipline.
Run experiments. Define KPIs. Build dashboards. Every initiative is a hypothesis until the data says otherwise.
Launch new markets. Lead go-to-market for European expansion. Adapt messaging, channels, and positioning for each market.
Partner across the team. Work with product, engineering, and medical. Feed user insights back. Make sure marketing reflects what the product actually does.
Build the stack. Select and manage martech (analytics, automation, CRM). Set up measurement and attribution that holds up under scrutiny.
Do the work first, hire later. High intensity, founding mindset, some freelancers, and a lot of AI tokens. Build a team when the playbook is proven.
Need to have
7+ years in consumer marketing. At least 2 leading a marketing function or team. You've scaled something.
Full-stack. Brand campaigns and conversion funnels in the same week. You think in stories and in spreadsheets.
Growth track record. Scaled user acquisition for a consumer product, ideally from early traction through rapid growth. Show us the curve.
Analytical instincts. You define KPIs, build dashboards, run experiments, and let data settle debates.
Excellent copywriter. In English. German preferred.
High judgment. You constantly reassess priorities. You know when to kill something that's not working.
Stakeholder wrangler. Experience managing agencies, freelancers, and external partners. You get people to do their best work, even if they don't report to you.
Comfortable with ambiguity. You've operated in startup or high-growth environments and thrive with ownership.
Technical. You've probably built a website once. Your first instinct is to automate, your second is to use AI to do it. You've connected APIs, set up tracking, and use Claude (Code) weekly.
Based in or willing to relocate to Zürich.
Something special. A brand you built, a growth curve you bent, a community you created, or a story only you can tell.
Nice to have
Former engineer, or working hard to become one. You've connected APIs, you've fallen (back) in love with the terminal, set up tracking, and hacked together tooling when the "proper" solution was too slow.
Experience in healthtech, wellness, or a regulated consumer category
Creator energy: you know how to make content people want to follow
Hands-on experience managing large paid budgets across Google and Meta
Familiarity with European consumer markets, particularly DACH
Background in community building and organic audience growth
