Pancreatic neoplasm (intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm)
A mucus-producing growth within the pancreatic ducts that can progress to pancreatic cancer. MRI detects and tracks it, enabling surveillance and timely intervention if needed. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
