What is the role of AI in the Ahead Health process?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a significant role in enhancing our service:

• Image Analysis & Quantification: We use advanced AI segmentation models (like nnUNet v2, SAM2) to precisely quantify organ volumes, measure visceral and subcutaneous fat, and assess muscle fat infiltration (PDFF). This provides objective data beyond what visual inspection alone can offer.

• Report Generation: A Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Large Language Model (LLM) assists in drafting lay-friendly summaries for your report. However, every report is always reviewed, validated, and signed off by our Swiss board-certified physicians.

• Future Developments: Our AI roadmap includes developing multimodal risk stratification models (combining imaging, blood, and other data for more accurate risk prediction) and leveraging AI for faster MRI image reconstruction.
