Can a full-body MRI detect everything?
No. A full-body MRI is a powerful screening tool, but it has limitations. It is less effective for hollow organs like the stomach and bowel. It cannot measure coronary artery plaque, which is why a separate Heart CT calcium score add-on exists. And it should complement, not replace, existing screening programmes (such as colonoscopy from age 50) and regular GP visits.
