What we can find

At what age should I start prostate cancer screening in Switzerland?

We recommend starting at 45. Switzerland has no organised prostate cancer screening programme, so it's your call, and your GP can help.

If your father or brother had prostate cancer, you carry a BRCA2 mutation or you're of African descent, your risk is higher, so consider starting at 40. With a strong family history or known genetic risk, a contrast MRI may suit you better.

You can start with a PSA test, a prostate MRI with your full-body MRI, or both for the most complete check. If you have symptoms, see your doctor now rather than waiting for a check-up.
