Endometriosis is missed for 7 to 10 years on average. Pelvic MRI detects the deep form with a sensitivity of 83-90%, including the bladder, ureters and nerve roots where ultrasound struggles, and tells it apart from adenomyosis.
Diagnosing PMOS normally takes blood tests and a scan, often on separate visits. Here your hormone panel and pelvic MRI are read together in one appointment, building the full picture with no separate transvaginal ultrasound.
