Why this matters
Knowing your SCORE2 helps you and your doctor take preventive steps, including lifestyle changes, to reduce your long-term cardiovascular risk.
Your SCORE2 result isn't destiny, it's meant to start a conversation about prevention. Many of the risk factors it measures (like blood pressure, cholesterol, and smoking) can be modified through lifestyle changes or medications, potentially lowering your future risk.
Important to note: SCORE2 is calibrated for apparently healthy people aged 40-69. It doesn't apply if you already have cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or kidney disease. These conditions automatically place you in higher risk categories requiring different management approaches.
