Are there any side effects from the full-body MRI?

The MRI works without radiation and without contrast agents. In rare cases, skin heating (e.g. with tattoos or implants), noise exposure or claustrophobia can occur – we clarify this with you beforehand. Incidental findings are more common: the MRI sometimes finds changes that are harmless but occasionally lead to further examinations. Our experienced doctors assess how significant a finding is and guide you to the least invasive next step, for example a more detailed imaging sequence.

Scans are performed by the experienced radiology teams at our partner centres (e.g. Radiologie Hirslanden Zurich, Diagnostikzentrum Thalwil, ImageRive Geneva, Radiologiezentrum Zug).

For add-on requests that may involve low-dose radiation or contrast agents you will be informed about potential side effects.
