What we can find
Can a pelvic MRI show PMOS (formerly PCOS)?
It shows the ovarian part of the picture: the size of your ovaries and their follicle pattern. A PMOS diagnosis needs two of three things: an irregular cycle, signs of raised male hormones and these ovarian changes. Our women's hormone panel (in Pro, or as an add-on) checks testosterone and related hormones, so all three can be assessed in one visit.
Plenty of women without PMOS have lots of follicles too, so that alone doesn't mean you have it. The combined pill can also mask the signs. If your periods are irregular or stop unexpectedly, see your gynaecologist now.
