Can you detect endometrial or gynecological cancers?
Our full-body MRI includes the pelvic region and may detect structural abnormalities of the uterus and ovaries, including masses, cysts, and fibroids.
The Advanced and Pro packages (or the Gender health add-on for Core) include a dedicated endometrium-focused MRI sequence — the female equivalent of the bi-parametric prostate MRI we use for men. It's optimised for the uterus and endometrial lining, with the ovaries covered alongside.
What our MRI may reveal:
- Ovarian cysts and masses
- Uterine fibroids
- Large endometrial abnormalities
- Structural changes in the reproductive organs
What it cannot reliably detect:
- Definitive diagnosis of endometrial cancer, which still requires endometrial biopsy
- Cervical cancer in early stages (Pap smear / HPV test is the standard screening)
- Small ovarian abnormalities
Our screening is complementary to regular gynecological check-ups, not a replacement. We recommend continuing your regular Pap smears and gynecological examinations alongside our screening.
See our conditions overview for more on what our screening may detect.
