Our scans & tests
What does a pelvic MRI show in women?
Our pelvic MRI adds a high-resolution, side-on (sagittal) view of your uterus, its lining (endometrium) and your ovaries to the pelvic images your full-body MRI already takes. Together they can show signs of endometriosis and adenomyosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts and the ovarian changes seen in PMOS (formerly PCOS).
It adds about 5 minutes in the scanner and needs no contrast agent. It's included in Advanced and Pro, and you can add it to Core.
Like any scan, it can't rule everything out, and now and then it spots something unexpected that needs a follow-up.
