Endocrine healthDetected by MRI
Adrenal metastases
Cancer that has spread to the adrenal glands from another part of the body. The adrenals are a common site for metastases, and early detection aids cancer staging. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
