DigestiveDetected by MRI

Malignant cancer of the liver's blood vessels (angiosarcoma of the liver)

A rare, aggressive cancer arising from the blood vessels of the liver. It spreads quickly, so MRI detection while the tumor is still localized is critical to treatment. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
