Stomach and gut healthDetected by MRI
Malignant tumor of the bile ducts (biliary cystadenocarcinoma)
A rare malignant cystic tumor of the bile ducts. MRI detection is critical because complete surgical removal offers the best chance of cure. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
