Brain metastases

Cancer that has spread to the brain from another part of the body. MRI can raise suspicion of these lesions, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging such as a contrast-enhanced MRI or blood tests.
