Stomach and gut healthDetected by MRI
Cystic hepatic metastases
Cancer that has spread to the liver and formed fluid-filled, cyst-like deposits. MRI shows the number, size, and location of the lesions, which guides staging and treatment. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
