Deep infiltrating endometriosis

Endometrial-like tissue that invades more than five millimeters beneath the peritoneum into the bowel, bladder, or supporting ligaments, the deeply penetrating form of endometriosis that often causes severe pain. The MRI maps the depth and location of the lesions to support surgical planning.
