Fluid in the cul-de-sac > 3 cm

A larger amount of free fluid in the pouch of Douglas behind the uterus. At this volume it is more likely to be followed up or evaluated, as it can point to a recent ovulation, a ruptured cyst, or pelvic inflammation; MRI shows the fluid and measures how much is present.
