Brain and nerve healthDetected by MRI
Tumour of the brain tissue (glioma)
A tumor arising from the supportive glial cells of the brain. MRI shows the tumor's size, location, and features that suggest its grade, guiding treatment planning. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
