Women's healthDetected by MRI
Hemorrhagic ovarian cyst > 3 cm
An ovarian cyst that has bled internally. Such cysts are common and usually benign, but larger ones of three centimeters or more do not always resolve on their own and are sometimes watched with follow-up imaging. The MRI identifies the characteristic blood products and helps distinguish the cyst from other changes in the ovary.
