Women's healthDetected by MRI
Hemorrhagic ovarian cyst < 3 cm
An ovarian cyst that has bled internally. Such cysts are common and usually arise during the normal menstrual cycle; small ones under three centimeters are typically harmless and resolve on their own. The MRI identifies the characteristic blood products and helps distinguish the cyst from other changes in the ovary.
