DigestiveDetected by MRI
Hernia
A protrusion of tissue or an organ through a gap in the abdominal wall, causing a palpable bulge that can, in rare cases, become trapped (incarcerated). MRI determines the type, size, and contents of a hernia, helping to judge whether further workup is warranted.
