Endocrine healthDetected by MRI
Lymphoma in the thyroid
Lymphatic cancer of the thyroid gland, strongly linked to Hashimoto's thyroiditis. MRI shows a rapidly enlarging thyroid mass, prompting biopsy; localized disease responds well to treatment. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
