Lung and airwaysDetected by MRI
Metastases in the nasal pharynx
Cancer that has spread to the upper throat area from another location. MRI detection is important for cancer staging and treatment decisions. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
