Bladder and kidney healthDetected by MRI
Pelvic (ectopic) kidney
A congenital variant in which one kidney lies low in the pelvis instead of in its usual position high in the abdomen, distinct from a rotated kidney. The whole-body MRI shows the unusual location, which is often harmless but can be linked to a higher risk of stones and urine backflow.
