Solid thyroid mass

A solid growth in the thyroid gland that needs evaluation to determine whether it is benign or malignant, though most such findings turn out to be harmless. MRI flags the mass and prompts targeted ultrasound and, if needed, a tissue sample (biopsy); MRI alone can only raise suspicion, so a reliable diagnosis requires this further specialist assessment.
