Endocrine healthDetected by MRI
Solid thyroid mass
A solid growth in the thyroid gland that needs evaluation to determine whether it is benign or malignant. MRI flags the mass, prompting ultrasound and biopsy where indicated. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
