Vertebral displacement (spondylolisthesis)
Forward slippage of one vertebra over the one below it, usually resulting from age-related wear of the discs; this can narrow the spinal canal and press on nerves. MRI assesses the degree of slippage and any resulting nerve compression to help guide treatment decisions.
