Bladder and kidney healthDetected by MRI
Urinary tract metastases
Cancer that has spread to the urinary tract from a tumor elsewhere in the body. MRI detects these deposits, which is important for staging and guiding treatment decisions. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
