Women's healthDetected by MRI
Uterine tumor
Tumors of the uterus, most commonly endometrial cancer arising from the uterine lining. MRI maps the depth of invasion and spread to stage the disease and guide treatment. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
