Ahead Health appoints Harvard-trained physician scientist Dr. med Anna Erat as Chief Medical Officer

Ahead Health, the Zurich-based preventive healthcare company, today announces the appointment of Dr. med. Anna Erat (MD, PhD, IDP INSEAD) as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. med Erat’s career spans frontline clinical medicine, research, and health systems leadership. She joins Ahead Health to lead the medical direction and clinical standards as the company scales its AI-powered platform across Europe.

Ahead Health also recently welcomed Professor Edouard Battegay to its medical advisory board. A leading Swiss internist and Professor emeritus of Internal Medicine at the University of Zurich, Battegay has focused throughout his career on cardiovascular prevention and healthy aging, and his involvement further strengthens the clinical depth behind Ahead Health's preventive platform.

Together, these additions follow Ahead Health's recent round, led by RTP Global, with $6 million raised, and signal the company's intent to pair expansion with clinical depth as it enters new European markets.

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Erat will oversee clinical quality, medical protocols, and the science underpinning the company's preventive check-ups, which combine MRI scans and advanced blood tests in a single AI-powered platform. She will also help broaden Ahead's clinical care pathways, pairing every check-up with ongoing prevention, specialist support, and improvement programmes so members are supported well beyond a single appointment.

About Dr. med Anna Erat (MD, PhD, IDP INSEAD)

Dr. med Erat is a specialist in general internal medicine and sports medicine, trained at the University of Zurich and Harvard Medical School, with post-doctoral research at Harvard in biomedicine and genetics and a PhD in epidemiology and health systems management from the University of Basel.

She joins Ahead from the Longevity Center Europe, where she was Medical Director for prevention and sports medicine, and previously held senior roles at Klinik Hirslanden, including Chief Physician at the Hirslanden Check-Up Center. She is a clinical lecturer at the University of Zurich and faculty at the University of St. Gallen Executive School, and has spoken on longevity and preventive medicine for organisations including the UN and the World Economic Forum.
