Somewhere, you have a blood test. A printout from your GP last spring, folded into a cookbook. A PDF from last year's company check-up, three inboxes ago. A photo from a lab in Munich, in units that look slightly different.
Until now, your first Ahead report showed where you stand today, at one point in time. One point is a dot. It takes two to draw a line.
It is now possible to bring your earlier results with you. Upload a PDF or take a photo, see exactly what we read, correct anything that's off, and confirm it. Only then does it join your report, next to your Ahead results.
What a second results shows
A single value is a snapshot. The same value next to last year's tells you whether things are steady, improving or worth a conversation with your doctor.
Reference ranges describe a test population, so a value can stay inside the range while moving noticeably for you. That movement is often the more useful signal, and you can only see it with earlier results to compare against.
Say you had blood tests through your GP in March and a company check-up a year before that. Upload both, and the biomarkers we support sit next to your Ahead results.
A photo of the printout is enough
Use whatever you have to hand. A PDF from your inbox works, and so does a photo of the printout on the kitchen table (PNG, JPEG, WebP or HEIC). The results can come from any lab.
See exactly what we read
Before anything goes into consideration for your Ahead report, we show you every value we read, which biomarkers we support today, and anything we need your help reading.
What happens to your upload
Your upload is encrypted with keys we manage. As a licensed clinic, we're required to keep the original file for 10 years, which is why we ask for your consent before you upload. You can read more in our privacy policy .
mg/dL in Munich, mmol/L in Zurich
Labs in different countries often report the same biomarker in different units, with different reference ranges. Glucose, for example, can appear in mg/dL on one report and mmol/L on another. If you've moved from Munich to Zurich, your older results can look as if they're written in another language.
We convert results into the measurement standards we support, so results from a lab abroad can become part of the same history.
Who can upload and until when
Uploading is included for members and full body MRI customers. It's open from booking until your doctor starts reviewing your results, so it's best done before your appointment. You'll find it in your Ahead account and in your pre-appointment questionnaire.
New to Ahead? Our advanced blood test covers more than 80 biomarkers , then bring your earlier results. See our pricing for current options.
Conclusion
Ahead follows your health over time. Our advanced blood test covers more than 80 biomarkers, and an Ahead doctor reviews your results. Bring your earlier results with you, and your doctor sees the values you've confirmed next to your Ahead results, so your report can show how things have changed. Every check-up you do with us after that adds another point to the line.
Uploading is included for members and full body MRI customers , and it's best done before your appointment. So open your Ahead account, photograph one result, check what we read, and give your report a before.
