Women's healthDetected by MRI

Endometrial cancer

Cancer of the uterine lining, the most common gynecological cancer. MRI stages the disease by showing the depth of myometrial invasion and spread to surrounding tissues. MRI can raise suspicion of this finding, but a definitive diagnosis requires further specialist assessment — typically examining a tissue sample (taken by biopsy or during surgical removal), and sometimes additional imaging or blood tests.
