What does a PI-RADS score mean?

PI-RADS is the international scale our radiologists use to rate how likely a finding on your prostate MRI is to be significant cancer. It runs from 1 (very unlikely) to 5 (very likely), with 3 meaning it's unclear.

A score isn't a diagnosis: only a biopsy, a small tissue sample, can confirm cancer. A low score makes significant cancer less likely but doesn't rule it out. You can go through your result with one of our doctors, usually by video call, and if you need a urologist or another scan, our team will help you book it.
