Your pelvic MRI, explained

  • Detects deep endometriosis where ultrasound struggles: bladder, ureters, and nerve roots
  • Distinguishes endometriosis from adenomyosis, which co-occurs in about a third of cases
  • Shows ovarian changes seen in PMOS; our blood tests can check testosterone and other hormones, blood sugar, insulin and lipids

Two conditions, routinely missed for years.
Caught in a single visit.

A high-resolution MRI of your uterus, endometrium and ovaries, read side-on alongside our hormone panel. Together they build a complete picture of endometriosis and PMOS, often years before a standard workup would.

Spots endometriosis early

Endometriosis is missed for 7 to 10 years on average. Pelvic MRI detects the deep form with a sensitivity of 83-90%, including the bladder, ureters and nerve roots where ultrasound struggles, and tells it apart from adenomyosis.

Confirms PMOS in one visit

Diagnosing PMOS normally takes blood tests and a scan, often on separate visits. Here your hormone panel and pelvic MRI are read together in one appointment, building the full picture with no separate transvaginal ultrasound.

Imaging and hormones, together

A side-on (sagittal) MRI of the uterus, endometrium and ovaries, read alongside your hormone panel. Together they set a clear baseline now, instead of years of unexplained symptoms.

Questions we could help with

Real questions from people like you, and how a pelvic MRI helps answer them.

I've had pelvic pain for years and nobody has been able to tell me why.

Endometriosis takes 7-10 years on average to diagnose. A high-resolution pelvic MRI sees the lesions and tissue changes that pelvic exams and standard ultrasound often miss, especially in the bladder, ureters, and around nerve roots.

Learn more

My cycles are irregular and I'm gaining weight without changing how I eat.

Both are classic PMOS signals. The diagnostic checklist for PMOS needs two of three findings: hormonal imbalance, irregular ovulation, and changes in the ovaries themselves. Between our hormone panel (testosterone, free androgen index, and more) and the MRI, all three can be assessed in one visit.

Learn more

We're planning to start a family. Could anything be affecting my fertility?

Endometriosis is found in 20-50% of women being investigated for infertility, and PMOS is one of the most common causes of ovulation problems. Both can be subtle in symptoms and often go undetected for years. A high-resolution pelvic MRI and a hormone panel together can identify either, well before they affect the timeline you're planning.

I'm worried about ovarian cancer. Can the pelvic MRI help?

The pelvic MRI adds a detailed view of your ovaries to your full-body MRI. If we see anything that looks suspicious, we tell you and recommend the right next step. No scan can rule out ovarian cancer, and scans have not been proven to prevent deaths from it. So if you have symptoms such as persistent bloating, pelvic pain or feeling full quickly, see your gynaecologist without waiting for your check-up.
